Privacy Policy

K.AI.DO (“K.AI.DO”, “the platform”, “we”, “us”) is an adults-only directory and showcase platform for AI roleplay characters, universes, and related creative content, operated by the operator and creator of K.AI.DO, based in Queensland, Australia.

3.1 Account information

When you sign up via Discord or Google, those providers share basic profile information with us — typically your email address, a provider user ID, and your display name/avatar as you’ve set it there. From that we create your K.AI.DO account:

• Handle and display name (you choose these on K.AI.DO)
• Email address (from your sign-in provider; used for account recovery and important notices, not marketing)
• Account settings, including your content-filter (tag exclusion) preferences
• Age-verification status — a true/false flag (see 3.2)

3.2 Age verification

Age verification is performed by AgeVerif (ageverif.com), a third-party specialist provider. Depending on your location and choice, AgeVerif may use age estimation (e.g. selfie analysis or email estimation), double-anonymous identity verification, or other methods.

• K.AI.DO receives only an age attestation: “this person is an adult” — yes or no.
• We never receive or store your date of birth, ID documents, selfies, or the underlying verification data. Under AgeVerif’s double-anonymity model, that data isn’t shared with us by design.
• If you use the selfie option, the facial analysis runs on your own device — the image is never uploaded to or stored by AgeVerif or us (per AgeVerif’s biometric data policy).
• AgeVerif’s own handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy (ageverif.com/privacy-policy); they are GDPR-compliant and certified to the IEEE 2089.1–2024 age-verification standard.

3.3 Content you create

Characters, universes, lorebooks, writing, images, audio, blog posts, comments/collections, profile details, and anything else you choose to publish or save on the platform. Visibility of this content is controlled by you (see Section 6).

3.4 Technical information (automatic)

Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure automatically processes:

• IP address, browser type, device type, approximate region
• Pages visited, timestamps, and error logs
• Security and anti-abuse signals (e.g. rate-limiting data)

We use this to operate, secure, and debug the platform — not to build advertising profiles. We don’t run third-party ad trackers, and we don’t sell data to anyone.

3.5 Cookies and local storage

• Session cookies — strictly necessary to keep you signed in (authentication tokens).
• Local storage in your browser — for preferences and, in some preview features, content drafts saved on your device. Data in local storage stays on your device and isn’t transmitted to us.

No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies.

• Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in
• Enforce the adults-only rule via the age attestation
• Display the content you publish, to the audience you choose
• Apply your preferences (e.g. your tag exclusions)
• Communicate with you about your account or policy changes (essential notices only)
• Keep the platform secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms
• Understand, in aggregate, how the platform is used so we can improve it

We don’t use your information for advertising, profiling for ad targeting, or selling to third parties. Ever.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run K.AI.DO, and only what each one needs:

• AgeVerif — age verification process (proving you’re an adult, without us seeing your documents)
• Discord / Google — sign-in authentication (you chose to log in with them)
• Hosting & database provider — storing and serving platform data (the website has to live somewhere)
• Cloudflare — DNS, security, email routing (keeping the site reachable and safe)

We may also disclose information if required by law (e.g. a valid court order), to protect the safety of users or others, or to enforce our Terms. We don’t share content with rights holders except as needed to process a takedown notice you send us.

• Public pages are visible to other signed-in, age-verified users and appear in browse and search. Anything public can be copied or screenshot by viewers. Treat public as public.
• URL-only pages are not listed in browse or search, but any signed-in, age-verified user with the direct link can view them. “Unlisted” is not “private” — a link can be passed around.
• Private pages are visible only to you while signed in. Platform operators may still access content where necessary for moderation, security, or legal compliance.
• Downloads and external links: K.AI.DO doesn’t host downloads — creators link to external sites where their files live. Following those links takes you off the platform, where the third-party site’s own policies and practices apply, not ours. Copies others have downloaded or captured can’t be recalled by us or by the creator.
• Deleting content removes it from public view promptly; copies may persist in backups and caches for a limited period, and we can’t retrieve copies other users already downloaded or captured.

Your tag-exclusion preferences are stored as part of your account settings and used only to filter what content the platform shows you. It’s a preference, not a profile — we don’t infer or record anything else from it.

• Account data: kept while your account exists. Delete your account and we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except backups (which roll off on their normal cycle) and records we’re legally required to keep.
• Published content: kept until you delete it or delete your account.
• Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security and debugging, then deleted or aggregated.

Depending on where you live (including under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and, for EU/UK users, the GDPR), you have rights over your personal information:

• Access — ask what personal information we hold about you
• Correction — fix inaccurate information (much of this you can do yourself in settings)
• Deletion — delete your account and associated personal data
• Export — ask for a copy of your data in a reasonable format
• Complaint — complain to us first (legal@kaidohub.com) and, if unresolved, to your regulator (in Australia: the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner; in the EU: your local data protection authority)

To exercise any of these, email legal@kaidohub.com from the address linked to your account. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.

K.AI.DO is operated from Australia, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where your data crosses borders, we rely on our providers’ contractual and compliance safeguards. By using K.AI.DO you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.

K.AI.DO is adults-only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). Every account must pass age verification, and accounts found to be used by minors are terminated. If you believe a minor is using the platform, tell us at abuse@kaidohub.com.

We use industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), third-party authentication (so we never hold your password), double-anonymous age verification, and access-limited infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever suffer a data breach affecting your personal information, we’ll notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires (including under Australia’s Notifiable Data Breaches scheme).

If we change this Privacy Policy, we’ll update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, give reasonable notice on the site or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use K.AI.DO after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
